There’s a new vehicle on the open road: the Tesla Model S for Kids by Radio Flyer!
Today, Radio Flyer continues to respond to new technologies and look ahead to be at the forefront of innovation and change. Inspired by advances in the automobile industry, Radio Flyer studied battery-operated cars for children, and wondered how it could evolve in that area. Families that had these toys were often frustrated with the battery, which had consistent problems holding a charge. Through a partnership with the country’s most advanced and sustainable auto company, Tesla, in 2016 Radio Flyer launched the first and only ride-on for kids to use Flight Speed lithium ion batteries. Like the grown-up cars, the kids’ cars were designed to provide the best performance with a lower impact on the environment, the longest run time, and the fastest recharge time. The result—the Model S for Kids—became the first customizable kids’ car on the market and the latest in a line of vehicles that inspire exploration, imagination, and fun.
