A Tale of Regeneration

“… tized?”

Corey looks at me with his owly glass’d eyes and says, “Why do you ask?”

The elevator doors open as the all-girls’ track team jogs by, chests proudly thrust out with the grinning Chester on the front and “Cool Chester Says Run Your Fastest” on the back.

millionth time the reality of experience and

to forge in the smithy of my soul the

uncreated conscience of my race…

As I watch the gophers playing in the sun, Joanie asks, “Where have you been?”

I scratch my shoulder. “Why do you ask?”
