ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Author, poet, and educator ANNE CROSSMAN made her publishing debut as coauthor, with Peter Feaver and Sue Wasiolek, of Getting the Best Out of College: A Professor, a Dean, and a Student Tell You How to Maximize Your Experience (Ten Speed Press, 2008).

After studying at Stanford and Duke Universities, earning a BA in English and a Certificate of Education, Anne began a career in education by teaching in public high schools, military barracks, and around kitchen tables to students ranging from academic underdogs to honor society prodigies. It was this experience coupled with her desire to see students aim for and achieve their best which largely inspired this book

Anne’s work has been published in notable sources such as the Washington Post, Margie, and Nimrod, and she has recently published her first book of poems, Trying to Remember, a memoir about Alzheimer’s. She is a recovering Unperfected Perfectionist.
