CLOSING:
What, Done Already?

I hope you have found this book helpful. If, after trying every single one of these suggestions genuinely over the next few months, you find that you are not seeing improvement, it is time for phase two.

Sit down with a parent, teacher, or counselor, and talk about why these study skills aren’t working for you. There may be other issues you are unaware of that are keeping your goals out of reach.

Whatever you do, don’t settle. Figure out what is slowing you down so that you can beat it. In everything you do, strive for excellence (as opposed to perfection, which is an intimidating and unrealistic goal for anyone) and then do your best to be satisfied with your best. That last part is often the hardest part that takes some of us a lifetime to master. Few are Nobel-prize material, but with diligence you will be a success.
