Travel to a fast-food restaurant or ice cream parlor. Order a great snack and get ready to deal! Let your daughter choose the first card game and decide who will be the scorekeeper. Take the “loser goes first” approach when you start new rounds or games. Reward the winner of each game with a sticker to wear, and see who has the most stickers by the end of the date.

Did you play Go Fish during your date today? It’s a great game—if you don’t have what you need, you just “go fishing” to fill up your hand with more cards.
Life is a little bit like that. Sometimes we don’t have what we need. We need more energy, more time, more money, more help. In those times we have a loving Father to go to, for “my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:19).
What are some ways that you have seen God provide in the past?
Have you seen the Lord meet the needs of anyone you know recently?
What are some needs each of you are struggling with right now?
Is anyone you know going through a hardship today?
Take the burdens you have talked about straight to Jesus, right this moment!
Dear Father,
Thank you for caring about everything we go through. You are loving and always willing to listen. We thank you for your promise to take care of us and meet our needs. Today we really need you! Please help us and the ones we love. Teach us to trust you as we wait for you to provide. Amen.
