Love is in the air on Valentine’s Day! Find printable Valentine’s bingo pages online at websites such as dltk-kids.com, makingfriends.com, or Crayola.com. Print out a few bingo pages and use conversation heart candies as game markers. Have your daughter dress for the occasion in holiday colors such as red, pink, or purple.

At the beginning of your date, present your daughter with a box of chocolates, a pink carnation, and a Valentine’s Day greeting card. Take her, along with the bingo game and heart candies, to an ice cream parlor. Order an ice cream sundae to share and play a few bingo games together. Flip the bingo pages over and draw tic-tac-toe grids and hangman games on the back. Use the conversation hearts as your tic-tac-toe markers and come up with Valentine’s-themed words to guess for hangman. End the date with a hug and an “I love you!”

On Valentine’s Day we show our love in so many ways—gifts, flowers, candy, and fun memories together. While we take a day to remember how much we love each other, we can also remember how very much our Father in heaven loves us! Read these verses together:

And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. (Eph. 3:17–19)

Thank you for your love that is “wide and long and high and deep.” Help us to know it! And please give us love for one another because you have loved us first. Thank you for this great day to express our love for each other. Please help us to show it every day of the year. Amen!
