Check out the location of a public planetarium in or near your community. Give the facility a call to find out the schedule of events and plan your visit. Keep the weather forecast in mind; a cloudy night will interfere with stargazing!
Bring your daughter to the planetarium and take advantage of each available exhibit.

Staring up at the huge expanse of space can be a powerful experience! Did you know that our sun is so big it could hold 1,300,000 of our earths? And that our sun is just one of 100 billion stars in our galaxy? And that our galaxy is one of at least 100 billion galaxies in the universe—that we know of? The size of the universe is too big to even imagine.
What’s amazing is that our God is so big he created the entire universe himself. Every time we look at the stars in the sky it should cause our hearts to worship him! Read these verses together:
The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.
They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.
Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world. (Ps. 19:1–4)
You alone are the LORD. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you. (Neh. 9:6)
For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him. (Ps. 103:11)
Dear Lord,
Thank you for making everything in the universe. You are brilliant! Help us to praise you whenever we look up at the awesome night sky. We love you so much. Amen.
