28. Tattoo Artist

From drawing on someone’s car to drawing on someone’s body, a career as a tattoo artist is a field that requires no introduction. Tattooing is a form of body art that has a long history, dating as far back as the fourth-century BC. The human body is the most serious canvas on which an artist can create a work of art and on-the-job training is the essential first stage to learning this craft. An apprenticeship can last a few years before an artist is ready to work on actual subjects. Many tattoo illustrators create their own unique designs or incorporate personalized interpretations from existing digital tattoo graphics. If one is attracted to the world of tattoo art, friends, peers, and the local tattoo shop can furnish a foundation of knowledge for building a career in this very popular trade.
