44. Sidewalk/Street Art

Event coordinators often seek sidewalk artists to liven up the festivities of a public occasion. Street art can range in subject matter such as reproductions of famous paintings, portraits of famous people, illustrated graphics, advertisements, social issues, political topics, and corporate-related concepts. Graphic street and sidewalk art has the ability to fascinate the public in a way no other type of outdoor advertising can match. Busy public spaces transformed by street artists have the power to stop passersby to engage and captivate them toward a theme or product illustrated in their path. This endeavor can be classified as a form of public, documentary art, and the artist who loves an audience, enjoys working outdoors, and has a flair with chalk art can have enormous fun while being paid to “play.”
