An enormously exciting career awaits the artist who chooses to enter the world of storyboard art. Working on-site with a film’s director, cinematographer, and stars, the storyboard artist will render every scene for a movie. Nothing is left to chance when filming a big-budget feature, and the ability to visualize a film from start to finish in storyboard form is a crucial step in the movie-making process. Numerous artists specialize in this market and work in a wide range of drawing and rendering styles. Other clients who hire storyboard artists are advertising agencies (for commercials), educational filmmakers, and television producers. Many feature films offer storyboard-artist-related “special features” with the release of a feature film.
