ESMÉ WEIJUN WANG is the author of The Border of Paradise, named one of NPR’s Best Books of 2016. Her essays and stories have appeared in Catapult, Elle, and the Believer, among other publications. She received the Whiting Award in 2018 and was named one of Granta’s Best of Young American Novelists in 2017. Her other awards include the Hopwood Award for a novel-in-progress, the Louis Sudler Prize in the Performing and Creative Arts in the field of creative writing from Stanford University, and a grant from the Elizabeth George Foundation. She holds an MFA from the University of Michigan and lives in San Francisco.
