Eric Liddell Challenge Trophy—Created in 1946, an award given to the best athlete in track and field from more than 150 schools in Scotland.
Eric Liddell Memorial Room—Meeting hall for Christian youth activities at St. Ninian’s Conference and Training Centre, Edinburgh (since destroyed by fire).
Liddell House—Boarding house (dormitory) at Eltham College, London.
Liddell Patrol—Third Hong Kong Sea Scout Group (one of many Scout patrols named for Eric Liddell).
Eric Liddell Boys’ Club—Crieff, Scotland, and in many other places.
Chariots of Fire—1981 film, produced by David Puttnam and starring Ian Charleson as Eric Liddell and Ben Cross as Harold Abrahams, which garnered many awards, including the Academy Award for Best Picture.
Memorial Stone at Weihsien—Sponsored by Edinburgh University as a lasting tribute to one of its most famous alumni, the stone is placed near the site of Eric’s grave. (The cemetery where he was buried was destroyed after the war.)
Eric Liddell Centre—A Christian community center in Edinburgh, funded by local churches and private donations, which provides specialized day care for the elderly, as well as counseling, exercise classes, and educational and community living courses for those with mental health problems.
Statue of Eric Liddell—Unveiled in 1998 by Eric’s daughter, Mrs. Patricia Russell, the statue stands in the Old College of Edinburgh University.
