Words of Encouragement

Are you growing weeds or flowers in your life? Christian psychologist, Dr. Carey Looney, states that “Love and appreciation are to the human spirit what water and sunshine are to flowers.” Do you show love and appreciation to your family with positive, encouraging words, or do you constantly criticize? It takes 21 positive comments to counter one negative criticism — so if you want to get results, try some encouragement!

Finishing

Gather bottom edge of scarf with yarn needle and 8″ tail; tie to secure. With loose ends, attach daisy to gathered edge of scarf. Sew lps of daisy to scarf with needle and thread. Pm on scarf where you want small flowers, and sew to scarf with needle and thread. Sew daisy to scarf right below edge of hat. Rep on other side.

Helpful Hint:

If your loose end is too short to weave in, weave the needle through the stitches first. Then, place the yarn through the eye and pull it through the stitches.
