6 ft. (approx.) waxed jute string. Substitute hemp or crochet thread
3 round ¾″ wood beads
4 round/flat ½″ metal copper-colored beads
Size D/3 (3.25 mm) hook (or smaller)
3 chs = ¾″
With needle, string beads onto jute in order that they will be placed onto necklace. Make slipknot, leaving 10″ tail at beg. Ch 13, pull up smaller metal bead and ch 1 around it. * Ch 3, pull up larger wooden bead and ch 1 around it; rep from *, alternating beads, making sure larger bead is in center. After you have strung all 7 beads, ch 13. End off, leaving a 10″ tail, so necklace can be tied in back of neck. Tie knot in each end of necklace.
