Words of Encouragement

How easily do you get your feathers ruffled? It used to really bother me if someone broke a glass or spilled something on the carpet, because I thought people should be more careful. A long time ago, something happened that changed my priorities forever. A friend who had three little boys told me she wasn't comfortable bringing them over to be around all my “pretty little things.” I said, “They haven't ever broken anything, and even if they ever did, I've decided that people are more important than things! I care more about you and your boys than I care about my things.” I'm still not perfect at this, but I have tried to go by that philosophy for several years now, and I'm much happier.
