Most kids prefer desserts to deserts, but this desert is a pretty cool treat. Children should like exploring the lowest spot in North America or looking down at Death Valley from Dante’s View. They are the park’s special guests and are invited to participate in its Junior Ranger Program. Junior Ranger Booklets are available, free of charge, at any visitor center. Complete an age-appropriate number of activities, do something to help the park, and attend a ranger program for an official Death Valley National Park Junior Ranger badge.
