There are a total of five entrances to Lassen Volcanic National Park. Southwest and Northwest, both on CA-89, are the two primary entry points. Warner Valley, Juniper Lake, and Butte Lake entrances are accessible via unpaved roads from the south, southeast, and northeast, respectively.
Southwest Entrance from Sacramento (158 miles): Take I-5 north to Exit 649 for Antelope Blvd/CA-36. Follow signs for Lassen National Park, taking CA-36 E approximately 45 miles before turning north onto CA-89 into the park.
Northwest Entrance from Oregon (150 miles): Traveling south on I-5, take Exit 736 onto CA-89 S toward McCloud/Lassen National Park. CA-89 leads directly to the Northwest Entrance.
