Park Headquarters is located just south of Port Angeles on Mount Angeles Road. The visitor center has a variety of exhibits, including a hands-on “Discovery Room” for kids and a 25-minute introductory film. If you want to get straight to exploring the outdoors Living Forest and Peabody Creek Trails are two short forested walks that begin at the visitor center. Living Forest Loop is wheelchair accessible (with assistance).
Stop in at the Wilderness Information Center (360.565.3100), located inside the visitor center, for backcountry permits and current trail conditions. A permit is required for all overnight stays in the backcountry.
