Kelsey Macke has been creative for as long as she can remember. Her formative years were spent writing songs and horrible poetry, and she mastered the art of drama queenery at a very young age. When she’s not writing, she’s usually working on music with her husband, Daron, as part of the folky indie-pop duo Wedding Day Rain. Her YA debut, Damsel Distressed, combines a powerful story with original songs in a mixed-media project that sets Kelsey’s hyper-creative heart all aflutter. She is represented by Jessica Sinsheimer of the Sarah Jane Freymann Literary Agency.
