I was asked to do a cooking demo for a group of women from my church. After spending hours researching side dishes, I combined a few to make these green beans my own.

3 packages (16 ounces each) frozen French-style green beans, thawed
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic salt
3/4 teaspoon reduced-sodium soy sauce
Place green beans in a 5-qt. slow cooker. In a small bowl, mix remaining ingredients; pour over beans and toss to coat. Cook, covered, on low 2-3 hours or until heated through. Serve with a slotted spoon.
