1package white cake mix (regular size)
1cup 2% milk
1/2cup sour cream
6tablespoons butter, melted
3eggs
2 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
FROSTING
1cup butter, softened
5cups confectioners’ sugar
2tablespoons 2% milk
1teaspoon ground cinnamon
1teaspoon vanilla extract
1tablespoon cinnamon-sugar
1. In a large bowl, combine the first seven ingredients; beat on low speed for 30 seconds. Beat on medium for 2 minutes. Transfer batter to two greased and floured 9-in. round baking pans.
2. Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the middle comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pans to wire racks to cool completely.
3. In a large bowl, beat butter until fluffy. Add confectioners’ sugar, milk, cinnamon and extract; beat until smooth. Spread the frosting between layers and over top and sides of cake. Sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar. Store in the refrigerator.
