Deborah Shlian, MD, MBA practiced medicine in California, where she also taught at UCLA. She has published non-fiction books, as well as medical mystery/thrillers. She has been the recipient of numerous literary awards nationwide, including the Gold Medal for Genre Fiction and the Mystery Book of the Year Silver Medal. She currently lives in Florida.
