Chapter 10

Quinlan stared at the list of names lying on the desk and wondered whose life to end next. Three more people needed to be held accountable, and Quinlan wasn’t about to stop until they all had paid for their sins. They knew who they were and what crimes they were responsible for, and although they had no idea their lives were about to end, the fact that they would soon die was entirely their own fault. Quinlan merely served as the messenger with the gun. The decisions made by Dwayne Lincoln, Brice Guthrie, and the rest, affected not only them but also so many others, including Quinlan.

Tapping the name Teddy Hunt, Quinlan made a decision—Mr. Hunt would be the next to die.

He deserves it even more than Brice did. He’s one hundred percent the worst of the enablers, and the fewer enablers in the world, the better. Chicago needs all the help I can give it, and I’ll do my best to rid the city of its scum, one person at a time.

A phone call interrupted Quinlan’s thoughts. It was time to focus, and the plan to take down Teddy Hunt would have to wait until later that night. Slipping the list of names into the top desk drawer so it wouldn’t be seen, Quinlan answered the phone and got back to work.
