Dear Ms. Sincere Jones,
I cannot take it anymore. My five month year old child will not stop crying. Nobody told me it was going to be like this. I read all those baby books. I didn’t find any solutions. I wished someone had warned me. She won’t take her bottle. She doesn’t need to be fed. Heck, she is not even gassy. Babies are supposed to be beautiful blessings, right? This is not beautiful at all. Oh, let’s not start in on her father. He thinks that she is God’s gift to the world. She can do no wrong in her eyes. He has the right to feel that way. He goes to work. He doesn’t know what type of hell I go through with our daughter. When he arrives home, he sees his perky little girl. I am tired. I didn’t sign up for this. I cannot do it alone anymore.
Sincerely,
Sleep Deprived Mom
Dear Sleep Deprived Mom,
It is not easy being a new mother. You are right. Nobody tells you about what happens when motherhood goes wrong. For that, I am sorry. Have you talked to your husband? If you talk to him about your frustrations, he should be willing to help you cope with being a new mother. Have you talked to your doctor? Your daughter might have colic. I am no doctor, but you should call your pediatrician. You are not the only one that has experienced motherhood. I have enclosed brochures on programs for new mothers. The key is to get help from the experts. You do not have to face rough times alone. I hope this helps.

Sincerely,
Ms. Sincere Jones
