Chapter Two
my Value

Tanning beds. Diets. Binging. Liposuction. Breast enlargements. Face lifts. It seems everywhere you turn there is a new product, gimmick, or solution on the market that can supposedly improve or change your appearance. Take a stroll through the mall or glimpse at a magazine stand, and you will see countless pictures with beautiful women using their bodies to sell a product. Why do you think so many girls today are dissatisfied with their appearance? Do you think your appearance determines your significance? You know, God made you just as you are. Regardless of the size of your waist, the tone of your skin, or your complexion, you are of great significance to Him.

It may seem like the right thing to do in a moment of crisis, but what is cutting really doing for you?

It hurts. It doesn't answer prayer.
You bleed. It doesn't heal your heart.
It scars. It will never stop your hurt.
It's addictive. It can't solve your problems.
It's self-destructive.

When confessing sin to God, remember, He loves you and desires to restore you to fellowship with Him. Once you confess, let go of it and walk away.

Is there a sin you need to confess to God? If there is, this sin is keeping you from living the life of freedom that God has called you to live.

Nothing you do will ever make God love you any less than He does right now.

Nothing you do will ever make God love you any more than He does right now.

Is there something about you that you don't like?
