I don’t know who actually reads these, but to those who do, I just want to say thank you.

Thank you for giving this book and me a chance, even if you finished this and went “what the hell did I just read?”

This book has been in the works for 3.5 years, and it’s been the hardest thing to write because it meant I had to be more vulnerable than I’ve ever been in my life. I poured out my past and my present into this book, as well as a lot of could-have-been moments and many moments I wish had happened.

I want to say a special thank you to my family for sticking with me and telling me to snap out of it every time I tried to quit.

I want to thank Jocelyn and Eamonn for basically being my sounding boards when I needed to talk at someone, not to someone, through my racing thoughts.

Finally, I want to thank Alayna for being the inspiration behind Elli and for being my platonic soulmate.
