This story was a beast. And not just because it’s a spooky story.

I started it on a tight deadline, and I finished it just after starting a new day job. And you know what? It was hard. But diving into this book reminded me how much I love the simple joy of creating worlds and characters, of telling stories. Story is why we’re all here, right?

First and foremost, thank you, dear reader, for trusting me with your time. I hope you enjoyed the wild hay ride!

And now on to the usual suspects: most of all, thanks to my husband for dreaming with me and encouraging me to keep going. To my parents, grandmother, siblings, and in-laws, thank you for always supporting me and what I love to do. And to my friends: Kristin, Emily, Sarah, Christine, Steve, and all the other people I am honored to know. To all of you, I love you and I’m so glad to have you on this journey with me!

Many thanks to my professional team. Thanks to Savannah at Dragonpen Designs for yet another gorgeous cover! Kitties! Thanks to Arielle for her help and input in refining the worldbuilding, characters, and mood of this tale. And thanks to Deborah for her enthusiasm and for helping me hang the final cobwebs in my story for extra spook. I couldn’t have done this without you.

Finally, and most of all, I thank God. Without Him, none of this would have been possible, and every word He brings me helps me reach out to someone new and touch those I’ve met along the way.
