Tulsi tea

Tulsi, also known as holy basil, appears in sacred Indian scriptures from 5,000 years ago and has long been used as a folk remedy to support the immune system. It is packed full of antioxidants, and helps reduce inflammation, bloating and digestive gas. It also has antiseptic, anti-ageing and anti-stress properties, helps to regulate sugar and cholesterol levels and is very drying, so is excellent for Kapha.

Holy basil is reputed to have spiritual properties capable of cleansing the body and even spaces (many families have it in their homes), as well as promoting purity and lifting the life-force. This tea has a strong aroma, with an astringent, deep and spicy taste. Choose a white teacup or glass to enjoy the golden colour.
