CHAPTER 7: YOUR ENVIRONMENT
Placing yourself in an environment that compliments your energy does wonders. Many times, we place ourselves in workplaces that make us unhappy.
Surround Yourself with People That Loves You
It starts with surrounding yourself with people that love you because if we are in an environment where people are not resonating on the same frequency as ourselves, we start absorbing their energy. It's not a matter of if it's good or bad; it's a question of how it's serving you.
Everything is energy, and energy is everything. People you surround yourself with give out frequencies (energetic vibe). Surrounding yourself with people who resonate with your frequency (or even higher) will increase your energy, thereby supporting you. Carefully avoid those people that seek to drain your energy. Be grateful for the lessons and learn from such people (energy drainers).
Reconnect with Nature
Nature will keep you strong and nurture you. It is the heartbeat of the earth and can ground you while keeping your sense of self. It is called the great mother for a reason.
Sink your roots into the earth and draw strength and emotional nourishment from there. Spending quality alone time is also essential as you need to replenish your energy from a challenging world filled with many emotions.
Clean Up Your Environment
You must be willing to destroy everything in your life that is not excellent. Sounds harsh and so tough, right?
But consider this; consider why you're born, why you're here.
What is your birthright?
What is your obligation to that birthright?
Were you put on this earth to be the best?
People often act to fit into their environment rather than being loyal to their birthright – to being the best. You must surround yourself with people who see greatness in you.
I want you to think about your environment right now. Think about your home environment; is that equivalent to you being the best? Now think about your work environment, office, field, stage, and working environment. Is that equivalent to you being the best in the world for your job? Think about your relationships.
Think about the distractions you have in your life. They might be social; they might be TV, social media, and so on.
Take inventory right now. Is that environment equivalent to you being the best in what you do?
If it's not, you have to start withdrawing yourself from that environment. You must build an environment of people who only see greatness in you and support the change and behavior you're going to make. This new mindset that you have is natural, not new.
My dad built an environment around my family, where being the best was expected. Failure wasn't in our environment. So what environment are you creating for your employees, for your family, for the people in your community? And in return, what is the environment they're creating for you.
If they're not creating the one that takes you to the very top, then get out of it. You don't even need to get out of it. What might happen is people around you who are committed to mediocrity will begin to leave you.
Anytime someone tells me:
'Who are you to be the best? that's bragging.'
I reply by asking them:
“The day I was conceived, there were 300 million sperms released. Who won that race?”
I did. You did. So you tell me who the best is.
You're the best before I met you. It's what you're going to be - the best. Your environment must be equivalent to the best. Start to eliminate everything in your life that is not excellent. Being the best is the best because it's the only market that is not crowded.
So today, clean up your environment so that it's equivalent to your ability. Reach that level you want to reach and if it's not, leave it.
Clean up your environment. Be the best.
