With very few exceptions, all the shakers in this book are drawn from a single collection of more than 3,000 pairs amassed by Jim Langer and Doug Horton of Minneapolis. To them, and their dog, Dolly, who liked to nap under my camera tripod, this book is respectfully and gratefully dedicated.
