Meet Lionel Shriver
LIONEL SHRIVER’S NOVELS include Big Brother, the National Book Award finalist So Much for That, the New York Times bestseller The Post-Birthday World, and the international bestseller We Need to Talk About Kevin (which was made into a feature film starring Tilda Swinton and John C. Reilly), winner of the Orange Prize in 2005. Her story “Kilifi Creek” won the BBC National Short Story Award in 2014. Her journalism has appeared in The Guardian, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, and many other publications. Shriver was educated at Barnard College (BA) and Columbia University (MFA). She has lived in Nairobi, Bangkok, and Belfast, and currently lives in London and Brooklyn, New York.
