About the Editors

Martin H. Greenberg has edited more than two thousand books in every genre imaginable, including many western titles, such as Desperadoes, Texas Rangers, Guns of the West, The Best of the American West, and The Best of the West anthology series with Bill Pronzini, as well as the Double-Action Western novel series for Tor. He was the 1995 recipient of the Ellery Queen Award from the Mystery Writers of America, the Milford Award for Lifetime Achievement in Science Fiction Publishing and Editing, and the HWA Grand Master Award, the only person in publishing history to receive all three of these honors.

Russell Davis has edited numerous novels, short stories, and anthology titles, including Lost Trails. He is an avid supporter of western literature. As an author, he has written and sold almost twenty novels (under a variety of pseudonyms and in many genres) and over thirty-five short stories. He currently runs his own book packaging company, Morning Storm Books, a western-related blog, and works with his wife on breaking and training Arabian horses for endurance riding. When he’s not busy with all of that, he tries to keep up with his kids, coach youth football, and once in a great while, get a little shut-eye.
