Deep in the Forest

You see the Skua-Rai, high priest Saradis in all her regalia, the bearded mask, the shining, glowing cloak. She sits upon a throne which, up close, has hundreds of flaming, screaming faces carved into it. No matter how cold it is outside the throne room is always too hot. The many fires of Zorir burn constantly and the Skua-Rai barely covers her flesh in a way that you have been raised to believe is wrong outside of the family. So much they tell you to do seems wrong. But the Skua-Rai is chosen of Zorir, so how can anything she does be wrong? You are as confused by her and this place as ever. She shimmers, her voice overlaid by a hissing, scratching voice.

You think it is the voice of your cowl.

But how can it be?

That time has not yet come.
