It All Begins with a Decision

image

Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live, loving the Lord your God, obeying his voice and holding fast to him, for he is your life and length of days, that you may dwell in the land...~ Deuteronomy 30:19-20

I am so encouraged today for many reasons; one reason in particular is life changing. I truly believe a moment can change your life, but it all begins with a decision. Sounds philosophical but in fact, it is a simple idea to comprehend. I have several quick questions to ask you:

The answer to all of the above questions is very simple.

It is a decision!

None of us can go back and change what we did yesterday, last year, or a decade ago but we can decide to let go of the past and move forward by choosing life. Now, I do not mean to come off rude but your life is the outcome of the decisions you’ve made. If you do not love your life, it is time to make better decisions.

Good and bad decisions are usually based on how you feel, but godly decisions are based on godly revelations and biblical truths.

The good news is that you can start making better decisions by choosing Jesus. With Jesus as your focus, you can let go of the pain from a loss, you can let go of the frustration of not accomplishing your goals, and you can let go of the sorrow of not becoming more.

With Jesus, you can embrace all you are and all you can be. With Jesus, nothing is hopeless. With Jesus, it is never too late. You cannot change your yesterday, but with Jesus, the decisions you make right now can change your today.

Therefore, anytime you find yourself going back and forth on a decision, take the time to go back to the person you trust with your heart, Jesus. Decide that no matter what the situation may look like, no matter the disappointments that come, you are going to fix your heart on the Word of God.

It all begins with a decision, and if you decide to be great, you will and your dissatisfactions will become the stepping-stones to something better. Yesterday happened, but today is the day to be strong and have courage because the battle is the Lord’s, and He is on your side. Fall into His loving arms today; you can trust Him.

Cream and Sugar...

Psalm 25:4-5

Say this Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Today I want to thank You for not leaving me without guidance and direction on matters that are difficult for me to figure out. Help me make wise decisions, which will bring You glory and honor. Let my decisions be the reflection of Your love for me.  I declare this by faith, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
