Do You Really Trust Him?

image

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. ~Proverbs 3:5-6

When was the last time you received $2,760 dollars for doing nothing? For me, it was about five years ago when there were four checks totaling that exact amount just sitting in my P.O Box.

The checks were a part of a class-action lawsuit that a particular bank agreed to pay former members to avoid the expense and uncertainty of ongoing litigation. This was money that I did not know existed; I had no clue it was being sent to me. Can you imagine how thrilled I was?

I started jumping with excitement! I started dancing right there in the post office. Receiving unexpected money can feel like you’ve gotten “free money” that you can spend however you like. Well, at least I thought I could spend it however I liked.

God wanted to teach me a lesson about trust. The next day during my prayer time, I heard God ask me to give the money away.

“Lord that is hard for me,” I replied. “I need to pay this month’s tuition for school.”

Four days later, I heard God ask me, “Do you trust me? Give the money away!”

With disappointment in my heart, I submitted to God’s will and gave all the money to my local church.

About two weeks later, when it was time to pay my tuition, I received a phone call from the financial-aid office at the college. They were calling to notify me of a scholarship I had been awarded that would pay the remainder of my tuition for that school year.  Immediately, I heard God say to my spirit, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.”

I learned a valuable lesson that day: no matter what happens, trust in the Lord. Jobs will come and go. Bank accounts will rise and fall. Economies will increase and they will collapse, but it does not matter! We must trust God for our security.

Is there something you are holding onto today that is keeping you from God's best? Today, I want you to put your complete trust in the Lord and let go of what is holding you back. Let go of the pain, anxiety, anger, hurt and bitterness, and Jesus will exchange it for peace, strength, wisdom, favor, and much more. Our Lord and Savior will give you exactly what you need.

Please think about this:

If Jesus Christ can raise up the dead, just imagine what He can do for your life. Trust in Him!

I believe Jesus is a mountain mover. In addition, He has given you the authority to move every mountain out of your life. As a matter of fact, I declare that every mountain and stronghold that is delaying your dreams are presently being removed!

However, you cannot forget to do your part. You have to learn to trust God and be open to seeing things from a new perspective. You have to know that all things work together for your good. Always remember, as God is glorified, His people benefit.

Therefore, trust His process.

Life is a journey of faith, and within the journey, there will be detours, but God is your shepherd, moving you closer to your destination. So, trust your God, trust His process, and know it is a part of His plan Your test will be your testimony.

Say this Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Today, I want to thank You for being my God; the God of the impossible. You can do anything and everything. I will put all my trust in Your ability and not my own. Help me and teach me how to see the problems in my life from Your perspective. You are mighty, powerful, blameless and true. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
