Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
~Isaiah 43:19
From the time she was a little girl, everyone counted Wilma out. She was a sickly child who was afflicted with double pneumonia, scarlet fever, and polio and had to wear a brace on her left leg. At the age of nine, this little girl removed the leg brace and she took the steps the doctors told her she would never take. After four years, she developed a graceful stride, which was considered a medical wonder.
Years later, the once sickly young child, who overcame her disabilities with faith, persistence, courage and an unconquerable spirit, became the first American woman to win three gold medals in track and field at the Olympics. She was once quoted saying, “The triumph can’t be had without the struggle.”
This amazing woman, Wilma Rudolph, was inducted into the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame and established a foundation to promote amateur athletics. She was able to live an amazing life because her attitude of faith never let her challenges determine her future.
If you are in the midst of a storm, among the thickets and thorns of life and experiencing opposition, please understand that God is preparing you and refining you for greatness. Like Wilma Rudolph, God is developing your faith, persistence, courage, and unconquerable spirit. God loves you too much to promote you before you are ready. Therefore, lean in, trust the loving hand of your Lord, and know that He will lead you to new heights.
Today, I want you to know that God is not preparing the dream for you; He is preparing you for the dream so it can become reality. He is raising you up like a strong tower to shine brightly for the world to see! It is important for you to understand:
When you receive a God-given dream, not a wish or a fantasy, God will give you the strength and courage to make it happen.
You were created to win; you were fashioned to overcome the challenges; you were born to be a champion. So, keep an attitude of faith because what seems impossible to accomplish is very possible with Jesus in your life.

Say this Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Today I ask You to help me become bold as I go throughout this day. When I am tempted to surrender, help me to carry on. Grant me a joyful spirit when things do not go my way. And give me the courage to do whatever needs to be done to bring You glory. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
