CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

Jaden watched over the city, again standing beside the windows of the penthouse apartment she was staying in with Iosif. So much had happened in the last week and she was still not sure what it all meant.

Iosif came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her.

Jaden sighed and leaned back against him. “So what’s next?” she asked him.

“Next?”

“Mmm, what’s next on the agenda?”

“What do you want to be next up, Mylash?”

She smiled and turned to face him. “Well, you could take me into the bedroom and make wild and passionate love to me.”

Iosif smiled. “I could if that was what you wanted.” He cocked his head at looked at her for a moment, “But I don’t think that’s what you really want, at least not right now. Is it?”

She lifted her eyes to his. “I do want that, believe me I do but I think we need to talk about what our future holds first.”

“Me too,” he agreed. “I need to know what you want? And please be honest with me.”

“What do I want?” She licked her lips and really felt stunned for a moment. “You know something? I don’t think anyone has ever asked me that before.”

“Then let me be the first.” He nodded. “What do you really want Babe?”

She caught and held his gaze, then told him without any fanfare at all, “I want you. I meant what I said earlier about loving you. I love you with all my heart and soul. I want a life with you and I want babies with you. You brought me more happiness in the last week than I ever had growing up. I want you for you. I may never have any material things in life, they don’t mean all that much to me anyway, but I do want you.”

Iosif smiled. “Good because you have me. I claimed you and I’ll never let you go. I love you too by the way. Those babies you want will share my name as will you I hope. You will be Mrs. Vlad Salazar.”

“But I thought your name was Iosif Maxim?”

“My mother never married my father and when I was born she gave me her last name, the same one I share with Roman. Does that make a difference to you?”

Jaden smiled. “Not at all. Vlad huh? Well, that’s different from Iosif but I could get used to it.” She chewed her lower lip for a moment then asked, “Will we be staying here or going back to Kazakhstan with your father?”

“We’re staying here. In New Orleans. I will still work for the Bratva, that is a lifelong commitment. But we will live here and build our own life together.”

“That sounds so good. I can’t wait.” She leaned forward and began pressing tiny kisses along his jaw. “Can we start working on the family part right away?”

“I think I can handle that, lyubov moya.” He growled and lifted her right off her feet.

Jaden giggled and asked, “What does that mean? What you just said?”

Marching down the hall, he entered their room then slammed the door shut behind him. “It means My Love.”

Her eyes twinkled. “Okay... that is my favorite Russian phrase so far.”

“I will teach you more than just Russian speak. We Russians are also know for hot loving, you know?”

She laughed as she became breathless and nodded her head emphatically. “Da, da!”

He paused and then tilted his head back and laughed hardily.

Jaden shivered. “Oooh, more sunshine. I cannot get enough.”

He kissed her fiercely, then threw her down on the bed and followed her body to the mattress. He pressed his mouth down over hers and the kiss they shared shut out the rest of the world.

Moments later, they were both naked and he surged into her willing body. His hard hot cock met her wet core and they moved together in sweet unison. All there that could be heard was moans and groans with sighs of pleasure.

Jaden groaned as he pressed into her harder and harder with each thrust. Iosif or Vlad as he called himself now couldn’t get enough of her. Each stroke sent them both higher and higher until finally they both exploded into a shower of ecstasy neither of them had reached before.

It took them both several minutes to get their hearts to slow down enough to move and as Vlad moved off to her side.

Jaden grabbed him as if she wouldn’t let him get too far away. The room finally stopped spinning and she laid her head on his chest, seeking out his heartbeat.

She smiled at an errant thought she had. When she told him, she wanted his children she hadn’t really thought it was possible until this moment. For some reason, she thought the two of them had just become three. She couldn’t be sure of that for a while but she knew she was going to have his baby someday. A baby she had wanted most of her life. A baby with a man she would love for the rest of her life. She hoped he would have Isoif’s-Vlad’s blue eyes and his silky blond hair.

Vlad smiled when he heard her whisper, “I love you...” His smile grew when he heard her whisper, “...Daddy.”

Before he could answer her, she slipped away into the waiting arms of sleep. He smiled again and joined her.

Tomorrow was another day, the first day of the rest of his life. A real life. He would tell her his other news then.
