This book is for my friend Alex, who pushed me harder and harder to write the story the characters deserved. She read the numerous drafts, telling me what worked and what didn’t work, she held my hand when this book grew longer and longer, she told me when I messed up (I did that a lot) and when I (finally) did well. She comforted me when I swore I couldn’t finish this story, encouraged me when I had to rework a huge part of it, and brainstormed with me when I couldn’t feel my characters anymore.
Without her feedback, Mate Me, Hate Me, Date Me, Love Me would’ve been about 30,000 words shorter. This is not only my story, but hers as well. I’ll be forever grateful for not only that, but for her friendship.
