In the text so far,
you have already learned some basic and crucial principles of data
gathering and variables, how to do basic data analysis in SAS, and
how the general statistics universe works.
However, this is certainly
not enough for analysis. There is an entire statistical universe of
techniques that seek to explain or predict one
or more variables. In this chapter, we will look at the basic tenets
of one of the most used techniques, namely, linear regression.
