Marianna gradually came around. She looked across the room from her bed to the long sash windows where she could see the street lamps flickering into life. Shadows were falling, she must have been asleep for at least three hours or so. She got up, she felt somewhat refreshed, still quite different and a bit detoxy so she knew that she would need to drink loads of water to get rid of that slightly headachy feel.
She got into the shower once again and dowsed herself in the water. She washed her hair and dried herself. She enjoyed the feel of the towels against her, luxuriating in the depth of their pile.
She had laid out a few clothes to put on, her black leggings and a lovely red tunic top, very energising and bright and she stayed with that decision because she felt the red was lifting her energy and she needed a bit of oomph right now after what she had been through.
She was wondering how the next step would be communicated to her although she suspected that she would be given time to recover from her primary initiations before being thrown into the next segment of the adventure. She also wondered how Archangel Michael, Most High, was getting on, and was not surprised to hear a soft thud as he landed behind her. He was fully dressed in his Angel gear, as he was not out in public. His mighty sword, iridescent blue and gold, held at his waist by a magnificent bejewelled belt. He sat down in a chair and smiled across at her.
“How are you now”? He asked. “Have you recovered from the rigours of your journeys”?
“Yes”, she replied, “I am much restored, although perhaps not quite ready to swing into the next melee too quickly. I just need time to ground and stabilise myself. I don’t know what the next phase is going to be about or where it will take me”. She ran her hands through her damp hair and massaged her temples.
“That is why I am here, he said, in part responding to your request, but also to advise you that you need to take care. Forces of negativity are out and about, so be on your guard. I will be back later in the day or possibly even tomorrow, with the next directive from the Councils of Light. They are giving you a respite from action”.
“Great, some Me time, how fab is that “, she said. “Tea”? She offered.
Mariana was never quite sure with Archangel Michael, whether one chatted or passed the time of day or whether the business of the day would always be business and of a very serious nature. She had offered a drink or tea but when she turned back to him he had gone. She reckoned then that it would always be business. Not that he didn’t care, but his care didn’t include hanging around just to keep her company!
Marianna had been married twice. The first time she had been nineteen. She had rushed into it without thinking it through. They should simply have remained friends, it lasted 5 years. She was on her own for about seven years after that until she met her second husband and she threw herself into that relationship swearing that she would not let it go the way of the first one, making it work at all costs. Regrettably after about 7 years the ‘all costs’ began to kick in, and instead of listening to her intuition telling her to move on, she put sticking plaster after sticking plaster onto something that clearly no longer worked. She didn’t get around to really speaking her truth until fifteen years down the line. She had explored and exhausted all the options to no avail, and so, reluctantly, they settled on a divvying up and then they split reasonably amicably.
She had thrown herself into her therapy business and focussed on her spiritual development work. She had known for many years that she was here to deliver a message. That was why she had walked in to the donor body. She hadn’t a clue what this message was, but never the less, a message there was and it had always been to do with the Magdalene and Jesus. There had been a growing lifelong fascination and deep connection to them both and she read book upon book about the Magdalene and how she had had such a deep influence on Jesus and working with the Order of the Magdalenes. When she read these books she had always used her own gut as a truth barometer to see what she felt she was comfortable with, what she felt she ‘knew’ and, on the other hand, what seemed like gobbledygook.
She had done the same with the Bible, a sacred Christian book, that had come down through the ages and through people with their own agendas and filters, and like it or not, whoever was writing was undoubtedly not being objective, but putting their slant on to the whole thing. Using her gut barometer with this had led a bit more to the gobbledy-gook side of things rather than acceptance.
She felt that the essential core teachings of Jesus had been hijacked by a religion that had been developed for the use of men to advance their egos. They seemed to want to control, dominate and accumulate wealth. She knew for sure that Jesus himself had intended none of the misuse of power. Certainly not the hierarchical system that had evolved. He was all for equality and had been very unpopular within the Jewish faith in saying so, during his time on the planet
Again, it had taken her a long time, but she did trust her gut, and she went with that. The books she had read about Magdalene deserved the same respect as the Bible as far as she was concerned. They were written by different people. Yes, with their filters and agendas. Some of it she could resonate with, and other bits she couldn’t.
Then there was the Book of Mary itself discovered in Egypt. Her beautiful words of Love were unmistakable in their message and pure essence. Love is within us all and the Source of that love lives there too. That was in Marianna’s opinion the real deal, the genuine article, straight from the horse’s mouth and not someone else’s spin.
Marianna knew that whatever she was here to do, it had to do with that simple message. She had, as part of her spiritual journey this time around, developed her psychic skills over the years to be able to channel the Angels and the Archangels in particular. She listened to their guidance a lot and although some people thought that was off the wall, she knew that more and more people believed in Angels. This was evidenced by the number of Angelic workers and healers that there were on the planet at this time and the growing audience that they had.
This was the first time she had met and worked with an Archangel on this dimension. She had only ever seen Michael in her mind’s eye within her inner visualisations. It was a revelation and great privilege to see and work with Michael in the flesh.
When she had first started Reiki, an ancient healing modality, it was a no-no thing that you didn’t talk about freely. Now it was widely mentioned on TV and had, in its own way, become a household name. Wonderful TV and radio presenters like Oprah Winfrey had gone such a long way to help investigate and promote alternative and complementary ways of healing, thinking, being, praying, living and loving. It was fantastic that so many were bringing forward a new spirituality for a new era of love. There were so many wonderful people out there serving humanity in this way
Marianna had studied Reiki because she had no choice, the protestant and catholic faiths had discarded the fact that Jesus was a healer, they had thrown that out and people in the West had turned to the East to reignite their healing knowledge.
Mikao Usui, who brought Reiki forward in Japan, acknowledged fully that he was basing his healing on the healing of Jesus. The West had thrown the baby out with the bathwater, and interestingly, demonised healing. And yet, it was, and is, something everyone on the planet can do.!! They just didn’t want people to know how powerful they are in their own right!
When she had been on Earth in past lives, she had knowledge of all that she now remembered. She often wondered why a veil was drawn down over it all. It made her feel as though she was starting over again. She was starting all over again, at least she had done. However, the memory and inner knowing of all her ancient medicine wisdom was now returning in an accelerated way.
Her guidance had strengthened and strengthened until she now knew that she had to listen to it daily, moment to moment, to ensure that she heard what she had to hear, because she was often called upon to share what she heard with clients and students. It also helped her as she prepared for this journey, essentially into the unknown, not knowing where, what and when. She embraced the uncertainty of it all with reasonable cheer, although there were times when emotion would come up as if from nowhere and wash over her. Tears would fall as if a mini cleaning had taken place. Releasing and surrendering the old established ways of being and that feeling of control.
She was staring into the abyss. She knew that she was not in control. All was in the hands of the Universe and the Councils of Light, and she served with humility and grace. Her life was not about her and yet it was important how she lived it, that she truly loved and approved of herself. A paradox.
Marianna jolted herself out of her reverie and got dressed, applied her makeup and brushed her hair into place. Time to go down for dinner, she suddenly felt very hungry indeed.
A few people were around when she went down to the lounge just outside the restaurant. The headwaiter saw her and came over smiling. He gave her the menu for the evening and took her drink order. When she had sorted that out, she turned and looked around. She spotted one or two interesting faces and she noticed a very handsome guy with dark hair sleeked back from his face. She couldn’t really get an energetic impulse from him to tune into. It was as if he was shielded, but she wasn’t bothered. Tired and hungry, she just wanted to eat and get back upstairs to bed for an early night.
She heard a lovely male American accent behind her, a soft voice. She turned and looked. She could hardly believe her eyes, it was Adam Lees. She had met him in Portugal a few summers ago on a workshop for Spiritual Guides. They had become firm friends and were pretty much inseparable for the 2 weeks. However, she had not been ready or interested in anything further at the time and they had gone their separate ways, keeping in touch occasionally by email or Facebook. He was a busy guy and had a thriving spiritual business in Arizona, helping thousands worldwide.
Adam became aware of her and was at her side in moments. They were laughing, crying, hugging and generally almost eating each other up. He asked if he could sit down with her and could he have dinner with her and spend time with her, all in a great rush as if he had to make up for the two intervening years in short order.
Marianna laughed at the whole scenario, he did seem keen, not at all the cool attitude you were supposed to adopt these days. She thought it all very romantic and she was really pleased to see him, a soul mate. She instantly felt so much more at ease and less vulnerable than she had done only moments before, only she hadn’t realised that was how she was feeling.
Adam and Marianna went into the dining room together and were shown a table overlooking the River’s edge, very romantic and there they embarked on filling in everything that had happened to them in the last two years. Shrouded in love they were oblivious to the cool menacing stares emanating from the dark head of Sebastian de Montfort who had been just about to launch himself forward to enthral Marianna with his charm. Thwarted but not for long he thought.
He made his way from the dining room up to her room. Earlier he had passed 50 Euros to the concierge to get her room number. He opened the door with alacrity using the skills he had developed during a decidedly misspent youth. He slipped into the room, put all the lights on and began to go through Marianna’s belongings. He wasn’t sure what he was looking for, perhaps tickets for the next destination, perhaps instructions of where she was going next or who she was meeting.
Drawer after drawer produced nothing. He realised his search was futile. He took from his pocket a listening device which he placed on the base of the telephone. At least he would know what plans were being made and could keep tabs on her. He left, leaving behind him a mess, not in his character to tidy up. That would give her a shock, although he could see that the slut would probably end up in the bed of the American for the night. It could have been him but never mind, softly, softly, catchee monkey.
Meanwhile back in the restaurant, Marianna and Adam were laughing and listening to each other’s stories, so many synchronicities and the best of all that he had been drawn to Paris to ‘do’ the art galleries and churches at this time and guided to this lovely yet fairly inexpensive hotel. He knew now that he had been sent here and with nothing planned, could stay by Marianna’s side whilst she did what she had to do.
Marianna felt that a prayer had been answered because Adam was a fully qualified Aikido instructor, a high priest of this martial art, he was well able to handle himself and she was really pleased he was on her team. She felt safe and secure in the knowledge that she would be looked after and protected at all times not that AM wasn’t wonderful but he wasn’t physically present all the time for her. She knew too that she needed to be careful that the obvious love between them didn’t distract her from her purpose and her mission, so it was going to be a balancing act.
The great thing was Adam wasn’t a burden, not needing pulled along or needy in any way. He ‘got’ her. He was there because he knew he was meant to be and was covering her back. He admired her greatly. He respected her gifts and talents, strengths and weaknesses. He knew he loved her in every way, and hope that she would be ready to commit to being together, however, he also knew about her commitment to the Councils of Light and working for them and for the greater good of humanity. Would she be able to compromise, to be with him? He hoped so with every fibre of his being.
Adam was in his late forties and as is the norm with someone on their own at that age he had had his fair share of relationships and one marriage that had terminated when his wife died of leukaemia. That was 10 years ago now and only when he met Marianna a couple of years ago had he felt that, for the first time since Jean, he had met someone who could be his soul mate, twin flame and partner in life.
Totally different from his marriage, this was a much healthier relationship, no dependency, simply an inter-dependent way of being. Both being self- empowered to do what they had to do, he would enjoy being with her, take one day at a time and pray that this time they would make a plan after their journey together in France. If it was what the Higher Consciousness wanted then it would be so. He would leave it then to the Universe to sort out.
Marianna was tired out, she had so loved listening to this gorgeous man talking about his travels and spiritual experiences and he had listened to her telling her stories. However, she needed sleep. She told Adam that the time had come and he escorted her to her door, she opened it and was just about to turn to say good night when she realised that her room was in turmoil.
Adam entered in and went round quickly to check that the thief had gone. She stood in the middle of the room looking around, she said, “Archangel Michael told me that there was darkness about, Adam, he was so right. They wouldn’t find anything as I don’t even know what the next step is”.
Adam took her in his arms and stroked the back of her head, “do you want to stay here or come to mine?” he asked.
“I will tidy a bit, so tired, I just have to put my head down,” she said woozily.
“In that case I will be sleeping on that chair there to make sure nobody returns for a second chance”, Adam kissed her, long, lingering and she melted into his arms. He laid her down on the bed and covered her with the quilt. In no time at all she was fast asleep.
He settled down for not the most comfortable of nights………..
Sebastian de Montfort re-entered the dining room of the hotel and started his dinner. He observed the two over by the Riverside and noticed that their heads were very close together, their body language giving away the fact that they were’ as one’ as it were. He realised that he now had two to contend with, rather than one, however, he would get his team onto that. He dialled a number on his mobile phone and spoke quietly into it. There would be a reception committee for this guy when he returned to his room. He would see to that. He got on with his meal.
Fortuitous then that Adam was staying put in Marianna’s room for the time being.
