My friend Irene Brand and I wish you joy this Christmas season as we celebrate God’s great gift to a dark world in the form of His son, Jesus. For the two of us, writing Christmas in the Air has been like a warm holiday visit with old friends. In our novellas, we have revisited characters from our earlier stories in A Family for Christmas, sharing with them as they open their hearts to the peace of the Christ Child.

In my novella, “A Season of Hope,” the characters learn about the perfection of God’s plan and His timing, even in the unlikely location of a stable stage. Ladies’ man David Wright must finally face his fear of commitment during a face-off with independent businesswoman Sondra Stevens, who harbors her own emotional scars. Can they open their hearts to love’s possibilities without receiving more visible wounds? Anything’s possible in this season of hope.
