Spinach-Yogurt Puree

Spinach is an iron-rich leafy green veggie. Despite its slightly bitter flavor, many babies love it! Around eight months of age, yogurt can be introduced into the diet. Once your baby has tried yogurt solo, combine with fruits and veggies for a deliciously healthy and more satisfying meal. No need for picking through a large bag of fresh greens; a bag of frozen spinach works perfectly for this recipe.

1 (16-ounce) bag frozen, cut leaf spinach

14 cup plain whole milk yogurt

Thaw spinach in the microwave (check bag for directions), cool slightly, and squeeze out any excess liquid. Place spinach in a food processor or blender and blend until smooth. Add yogurt and pulse until well combined.

YIELD: about 3 cups
