Nowadays juicing is trendy for everyone, even kids! But don’t believe all the hype. Juices are tasty for an occasional thirst quencher, but juicing destroys some nutrients and should not be a full-time replacement for whole fruits and veggies. No juicer? No problem! Make this gorgeous and delicious sipper with a blender and a fine mesh strainer.
1 cup chopped fresh watermelon
1 cup chopped fresh pineapple
1 large carrot, chopped
1⁄4 cup water
Run ingredients through a juicer or place in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour mixture through a fine mesh strainer to remove pulp if desired. Transfer to a container and shake well before serving.
YIELD: 11⁄2 cups (about 1 cup if strained)
