Verlan is a language game played in France.

The principle of Verlan is to reverse the syllables in a word. (The name Verlan is a Verlan of l’envers [the inverse]).

“I am getting pizza for dinner” translates into Verlan as follows:

“I am tingget zappiz for nerdin.”
