About the Author

JoAnn Saccato, MA received her Masters in Co-creating Sustainable Futures, a self-designed interdisciplinary program from Sonoma State University in 2009. She is a Reiki Master/Teacher, inspirational speaker, educator, author and consultant living in the hills in Northern California. During her “chop wood, carry water” years at a remotely located cabin, she journeyed through recovery for codependency, completed her Bachelors and Masters degree, embarked on a spiritual pilgrimage to India to explore the sacred places of Sikhism, Hinduism and Buddhism, and helped found the Lake County Community Co-op.

JoAnn received her Dharma name, Awakened Presence of the Heart, while receiving the Three Jewels and Five Mindfulness Trainings in the Thich Nhat Hanh lineage at Camp Latize in 2007. She is available for speaking engagements, individual companioning sessions, meditation instruction, and Reiki healing and empowerments.
