Tiara

Standing beside her husband-to-be at the altar on Saturday, December 12th, Tiara Williams uttered her handwritten vows without breaking her gaze from Hunter’s enchanting bluish-grey pair. Her voice sounded scratchy. That was not because of the small, close-knit crowd at the church ceremony. It had everything to do with the fact she was horribly nervous. She hoped to God she would not wake up tomorrow to find the ceremony had been a dream. A perfect but short-lived fantasy.

Inhaling a sharp breath, she exhaled quickly as her stomach cramped from different sides.

“Today, I give you my heart, Hunter and I promise to sit with you through your nightmares, cuddle you if you decide to cry–”

Chuckling, Hunter stared into her eyes with the intensity of a guy who knew what he wanted while the Bishop and the crowd laughed.

“I will laugh with you even when what you say isn’t funny–” she paused to sniffle as tears stung the back of her eyes.

Hunter’s eyes glinted the way they did when he was excited.

I love you,” her fiancé mouthed.

“I will always have your back, bae. I will be your best friend, your sexy lover because I love you deeply and in a billion ways and I want nothing but your happiness even though I won’t ever let you own a dog in our home or cook for you every day.”

While everyone laughed and applauded, Hunter covered his mouth with the back of his hand as he stifled a lasting chuckle.

Tiara blinked to stop the tears filling her eyes from falling. Last night, she had promised herself she would not cry. But her heart ballooned with more love than she had thought possible, with more honeyed passion than she could contain.

“Even when it doesn’t make sense to others, I’ll always love you, Hunter Roger Chase. And, I’ll always show you how much I love you, respect and cherish you in other ways, God help me.”

Bishop Simon nodded at Hunter. “It’s your turn.”

Her husband-to-be cleared his throat first, a small sign, he was as nervous as she had hoped.

“When I was emotionally blackmailed to show up in your office, I’d no idea I was about to be hit by the most beautiful, loving and fascinating woman in the world. No one warned me you were a force I couldn’t overpower. Tiara Williams, you’re my number one and my only true love.”

She giggled softly and the crowd cheered. It felt amazing to hear Hunter vocalize his feelings in front of the Bishop, their family and friends. Butterflies rolled over in her belly and a warm shudder exploded inside her. That was what joy uncapped felt like.

“My heart melted when I first heard you speak in that park, Tiara. I was so unnerved by you, I lashed out. That’s the truth. I still can’t believe you’re going to be my wife. I want to see you smile, laugh, roll around on the grass and swim in Brackish waters.”

She sniggered along with everyone present. In the park? Where he slammed into her like a gale force?

“I promise to love you even when you screech at me for getting your hair wet or when I withhold sharing a part of me with you.”

Laughter jumped from her lips as the memory of their kayaking trip and their fights surged in her head.

Others cheered at their original vows.

“I will love you forever, Tiara Dazzline Williams even when you push too hard to have your way. I will protect you, follow you around the world, laugh with you, honour you, treat you like my African queen and be your ride and die throughout our lives.”

“Amen!” she murmured, brushing away wetness from the corners of her eyes. Hunter’s vows were authentic and personal and she loved every word.

“Amen to that!” everyone else chorused.

Without a doubt, she loved Hunter with every muscle, fat and skin on her body and with her soul. Her chest tightened as heat gushed to her boobs.

“I now pronounce you, husband and wife,” Bishop Simon declared almost fifteen minutes later. “Hunter Chase, you may kiss your beautiful bride.”

When the wedding ceremony ended, the cheering crowd surrounded them. Shooting ahead, Hunter’s dad opened his arms to Tiara and she hugged him.

“Congratulations, Tiara! Thank you for taking Hunter off my hands forever.”

Laughing, Tiara pulled back. “With pleasure.”

“I heard that, Dad,” Hunter muttered, winking at Tiara from within Rachele’s embrace.

“I know what you mean. Hunter’s a handful,” Tiara whispered beaming because in her heart she knew the lines had fallen on to her in pleasant places.

When Ronald Chase clamped his son’s shoulder, Rachele stepped aside and pulled her daughter into her arms. The mother of the bride sobbed happy tears of thanksgiving.

“I’m so proud of you, Tiara Dazzline Chase,” her mom cried. “Congratulations my baby girl! This is my wish for you. Thank God for directing your steps.”

“Thank you, Mom for your love and patience over the years. I love you.”

“There are no words to express my love for you, Tiara. Take good care of Hunter. I told him to do the same. No matter what happens, stand by him.”

“I will, Mom through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Go find your own love.”

Rachele slanted her head. “Really? You ready for a stepdad now?”

“Yeah. If he treats me wrong, my husband, the no-nonsense Hunter Chase will haunt him down!”

Laughing with tears welling up again in their eyes, both women exchanged another warm hug.

“I already met someone new,” Rachele murmured. “He’s nice and his name’s George Dickson.”

“Mom? That was fast! He’s white?”

“Mm-hmm.”

They exchanged a conspiratorial wink.”

“Can I steal a hug from the dazzling bride?” Trevor Blackey whispered from behind them.

“Of course!” Rachele said, stepping away. “Great to see you again, Trevor.”

Tiara’s somewhat estranged best friend pecked Rachele’s cheeks before pulling Tiara into a bear hug.

“You look amazing, Tiara! I can’t believe Hunter kept his word and married you. I misjudged him.”

“Thank you, Trevor. It means a lot to me, to us that you came. Where’s Nicki?”

“Here I am,” Nicole waved from behind Hunter who was already stepping forward.

“I want my wife back, Trevor,” Hunter insisted clamping one hand on Trevor’s shoulder.

Both men did the shoulder bump and handshake thing before Hunter swept Tiara up into a quick spin. She giggled, twined her arms around his neck while the crowd clapped and laughed.

“Mrs. Tiara Dazzline Chase, you look stunning!” her husband gushed with his lips forming obscene shapes.

“And you look so sinfully sexy, you’re inviting me to see you naked!”

“Should we get out of here?”

“Just as soon as the reception party is over. My mom would probably die of heart failure if we skipped the party.”

“We need her healthy and strong for many reasons. I need to learn how to cook from her.”

“And, she needs to babysit our children.”

The instant the last word fell out of her mouth, Hunter lured her bottom lip between his teeth before taking over her lips entirely for a long kiss that got her vag hot and her nipples hardening into Bitcoins.

Near the end of the wedding reception party held at Temescal Beach House along Broadway Terrace, her husband tilted his head and whispered in her ear.

“Wifey, do you think I can wait till the very end to tear off your fabulous wedding dress?”

“Now you’re making me think about the many ways I’ll suck on your erection.”

Shuddering against her, his breath warmed her neck. She saw her husband subtly cup his fly and pat down his hardening dick.

“I’m going to sneak you away, Ti. Because I need a fuck really quick.”

Giggling at his dirty talk, she whispered in return. “If we can get away with it, I’m in.”

“Watch me.”

Just like that, Hunter lifted her out of her seat, served a hurried apology to the guests and marched out of the exquisitely decorated venue amid cheers and laughter. He did not set her down until he had belted her inside the helicopter that had not perched on the lawn facing the lake when she had turned up for her wedding reception almost two hours earlier.

Laughing and gushing, she swung her head left and right, peering through the window pane. She admired the beach house sitting on a spot surrounded by countless trees, pretty blue lake, undulating landscape complemented by a stony waterfall. It had been her dream wedding reception venue as a little girl.

“You booked us a flight, bae? I thought we were going to spend our first night in the Oakland.”

“Not a chance. I know you’re impatient to discover my throbbing erection but we’ll be out of here soon.”

She giggled, dipping her gaze to his fly.

“Welcome on board, Mr. and Mrs. Chase,” the pilot said with a grin, adding, “Congratulations!”
