'What are you doing down there?' Giles looked up to see Doris looking down at him with disgust.

'Did you not see that bloody old git who stuck his walking frame in my car window?'.

'Yes I did' replied Doris who picked up the walking frame that she had retrieved from the back window. Giles got to his feet and threw the frame in to the hedge.

'I'm calling the police. That bastard's not getting away with that. How am I going to explain that one to the insurance?'. Doris brushed off the leaves that had stuck to his back.

'Ok, we will call them, but can we get back to Wickerton first? I really need to find Sarah'. 'Fine' said Giles as he walked back towards his car, minus the back windscreen.

'Damn good job it isn’t raining'.

Just as they pulled out of the hospital car park it started raining.

'Oh for fu...can you put your coat on the back seat? Don't want my velour seats getting wet' said Giles turning to Doreen.

'I beg your pardon? I will do no such thing. If you hadn't aggravated that gentlemen then you wouldn't have a hole in your back screen'. Giles look like he was going to burst.

'So it's my fault that geriatric coffin dodger stuck his Zimmerframe through my window? What planet are you on? Has all that god stuff made you mad?'. Doreen also looked like she was going to burst.

'How dare you. I'd rather be a Christian than a knuckle dragging Neanderthal who goes about picking on old men!' shouted Doreen back at him.

'A Neanderthal hey, well, I don't see anyone else helping you out so I suggest you show your appreciation by shutting your fat mouth'. Doreen slapped him across the face. Giles stared at her in shock.

'Watch out!'.

Giles yanked the steering wheel to the right as two thuds were heard from the front of the door. Giles managed to stop the car just before hitting a tree on the other side of the road.

'Good lord, I hope you haven't killed anyone' said Doreen as she went to open her door.

'Wait a second' said Giles as he pulled her back in.

'For what? We need to check if they are Ok you stupid man'.

'It's probably a cow that got loose from one of the fields, come on, let's go'. Doreen took his hand off her arm and opened the car door.

'I'm not leaving until I've checked whoever or whatever we hit is ok'. She slammed the door and walked back across the lane. By the hedgerow lay two bodies.

'Oh my god. Giles! Come here'. Giles got out of the car and walked over.

'What is it?'. 'I think you've killed them' said Doreen pointing at the bodies on the floor. Giles took a closer look at what was lying on the floor. They didn't seem to be moving, but it looked like two fat people had squeezed themselves in to space suits and helmets.

'They're probably on the way to some fancy dress party dressed like that. Probably drunk too. Oi, are you awake?'. There was silence from the two bodies.

'Pass me your phone, we need to call the police' said Doreen getting a bit flustered.

'I'm not calling them, come on, someone else will drive by shortly, they can call them. I thought you were in a rush to get back and see your daughter anyway?' said Giles walking back towards the car.

'What are you hiding Giles?' shouted Doreen as she ran back to the car.

'Nothing. Just get in the car and let's go'.

'You haven't got insurance, have you?' asked Doreen. Giles said nothing and started the engine.

'Switch off the engine at once. If you won't phone the police then at least help me get them in to the car so we can take them to hospital'.

'Sod that. You can stay with them if you want, but I'm going home' said Giles revving the engine.

'What sort of man would leave two injured people at the side of the road? You disgust me Giles' said Doreen looking down her nose at him.

There was the sound of rustling leaves behind them as one of the injured bodies got up from the floor. Doreen turned around to walk back.

'Are you ok my love?'. The figure pulled the other one up from the floor and walked towards Doreen.

'I'm so sorry, my friend didn't mean to run you over. Are you both Ok?'. Giles had the car in gear ready to go. The larger of the two walked over to Doreen and stopped just in front of her. 'Can you take your helmet off? Just so I can check you're not hurt' asked Doreen putting her hand towards the helmet. Before she could reach it, the figure brought his large hand down on her head.

'What are you doing? Let go!' shouted Doreen.

Giles looked out of his window at the large figure dressed in a spacesuit with its hand on Doreen's head. Without thinking he released the clutch and sped off down the lane. Doreen fell to her knees as the pressure on her head increased.

'Please stop it, it's hurting me'.

The figure pressed even harder making Doreen fall to the floor in agony. Just as she started to close her eyes there was a loud crack and the hand was released from her head and the large figure fell forward and landed on the road. Doreen looked up to see the smaller figure stood with a large branch in its hand. She slowly got to her feet and held its hand.

'Thank you, you just saved my life'. The figure slowly took off his helmet revealing the alien form underneath.

'Hi, I'm Soros'. Doreen closed her eyes and passed out.

Sarah was sat in front of the Anvil watching the last embers burning away as the firefighters started packing away their equipment. She looked over at the post office to see if there was any sign of Toby but no one had left for the past hour.

'Have you not got a home to go to?' asked one of the firefighters. Sarah looked up to see a friendly face looking down at her.

'Yeah, I'm just waiting for my friends; they're in the post office at the moment warming up'. 'Ok, as long as you're ok'. Sarah smiled back.

'Yeah, I'm fine thanks'. 'Sarah!'. Sarah looked around and saw Toby running across from the post office. She ran and grabbed hold of him.

'Is everything Ok? I've been sat here worried sick'. Toby pulled back her hair from eyes and stared at her for a moment.

'What's the matter? Has my make-up run down my cheek?' asked Sarah as she wiped her face with her sleeve. Toby smiled.

'No, it's perfect. He leaned in and kissed her on the lips. Sarah's heart skipped as she kissed him back.

'Ewww, get a room!'. Toby pulled back to see Luke standing behind them with bag of chips. 'Where have you been?' asked Sarah.

'Have you not noticed the massive fire? We are looking for Toby remember?'. Luke put another chip in his mouth.

'Yeah, I know, but I was hungry so I thought I'd go get something to eat. You want one?'.

'No I don't' shouted Sarah back at him.

'I want to you actually take things seriously for once'. Toby walked over to Luke and gave him a hug.

'I'll have a chip mate. I'm starving' said Toby taking a handful of chips.

'Who's that?' said Luke pointing at the bearded man stood behind Toby.

'This is my dad'. Luke dropped his chips on to the floor.

'Your dad? I thought he ran off when you were a baby?'. Jack put out his hand toward Luke.

'I did, but it's complicated. I'm back now to help you guys out'.

'We need to stick together and do as my dad says ok?' said Toby putting on his coat.

'Why?' asked Luke wiping sauce off his cheek.

'Because you could all be in danger, so stick close by me'.

'What do you mean danger?' asked Sarah, now looking more concerned than angry.

'There is something you kids should know. Toby's dad is not from around here' said Sharon joining the conversation.

'Has he come from prison then?' asked Luke, noticing her police uniform.

'Not exactly' replied Sharon.

'What PC Naylor is trying to say is that I'm not from this planet' said Jack, stepping in.

'I bloody knew it!' shrieked Luke.

'I know you had some kind of special power Toby, and now we know how. This is awesome'. 'Toby doesn't have any special powers Luke. The reason weird things have been happening is because some unpleasant people from my planet are trying to get to me through Toby. This is why it's important you do what I say to protect him'. Luke was bouncing on the spot with excitement.

'You're an alien then?. That is so cool'.

'Oh grow up Luke' snapped Sarah, 'did you not hear what he said? We could all be in danger. Toby's in danger'. '

All right iron knickers, no need to have a period'. Sarah went to slap Luke but Sharon grabbed her arm.

'I don't need the paperwork'.

'Listen, I need you all to stick with Toby for a minute. I need to go and prepare'. Toby went to follow him.

'I'm not leaving you, I've only just found you!'. Jack stopped and put his hands on his shoulders.

'I only need a few minutes. I need to get myself ready to deal with the Urkan's. Just stay here with your friends, I'll be right back'.

'Toby, come here' called Sarah after him.

'Go, I'll be back in five minutes' said Jack and he ran behind the post office. Toby walked back towards Sarah who gave him another big hug.

'Don't ever try and leave me again, promise?'. Her eyes were filling with water but still looked stunning.

'I promise.'

'Good. Even if you think you can't cope with things, you know, just talk to me and we can deal with it, ok?'. Toby put his thumbs on her cheeks and wiped away a couple of tears.

'I think I love you Sarah Baker'.
