ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Eric lives in Bedford, New Hampshire and has been cooking on the Big Green Egg since 2000. In 2006, Eric and his wife Cindi formed the Yabba Dabba Que! Competition Barbecue Team and started competing at barbecue contests throughout the Northeast. In 2007, they were the New England Barbecue Society’s (NEBS) Rookie team of the year. In 2009 and 2012, Yabba Dabba Que! competed in the Jack Daniel’s Invitational World Championships® in Lynchburg, Tennessee. In 2009, at the American Royal World Series of Barbecue®, the largest competition in the world, they received a perfect score for their crème brûlée.

Eric and Cindi are members of the Kansas City Barbecue Society (KCBS) and the New England Barbecue Society (NEBS). Eric was a three-term Director of NEBS and its recording secretary. Eric has been a KCBS-certified barbecue judge since 2006.

Eric and Cindi have attended and cooked at several Eggfests in Waldorf, Maryland and Brentwood, New Hampshire. For the past five years, they have been performing Big Green Egg demonstrations for Tarantin Industries at dealerships throughout New England and New York.

When he is not cooking on his Eggs, Eric works as a licensed land surveyor.
