INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups freshly squeezed orange juice
- ¼ tsp. dried oregano
- ½ cup white wine vinegar, divided
- ½ white onion, sliced into rings
- 3 lb. pork butt, trimmed and sliced into cubes
- 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
- ½ white onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp. sea salt
- ½ tsp. black pepper
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tbsp. lime juice
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
- First apply the salt and pepper onto the pork.
- Then sprinkle the oil into a pot and set it over high heat.
- Brown the pork for about 2 minutes on each side.
- Then transfer into a plate.
- Then lower the heat and cook the white onions for 4 minutes.
- Add the garlic and bay leaves into it and cook for 2 minutes.
- Put down the pork back into the pot.
- Muddle the lime juice, orange juice, and half of the vinegar.
- Simmer (boil) it for 1 hour.
- Remove the pork and shred (pieces) using two forks.
- Mingle the onion rings with the remaining vinegar and oregano.
- Then dish up the shredded pork with the onion rings.
