6 whole allspice berries
2 (3- to 3 1/2-inches-each) cinnamon sticks
3 (3x1-inch) orange rind strips
5-inch square of cheesecloth

Place spices and orange rind in the center of the cheesecloth; gather the edges and tie with cotton string. When ready to use, add spice bag to wine, cider, etc. and heat until well blended. Remove bag before serving. Makes 1 mulling spice bag.
